Preview: Go!Zilla at Cargo

2901.prev.jpg Wanna go to a party this weekend? There’s a pretty cool one on at Cargo on Saturday night.

Techno-type guru James Priestley, who will also be performing on the evening, has strung together another of his regular Shoreditch shindigs. Headlining is The Sunburst Band who are exactly what their name suggests: an audio-surge of pure joy. Bit of soul, bit of funk: hey, they do disco. We like: actually we had the floor and Londonist Towers fairly shaking earlier. If boogie-ing is your thing, you will like them too.

But there’s more. Agnes (which is apparently a bloke’s name in Switzerland) is a ‘Deep House’ specialist. Whatever that is. We listened. We also liked. It’s very danceable. More shaking floors and a lot of tapping on the desk.

And then there’s DJ BenjiB, who makes and plays an eclectic sound mix, but it’s all feel-good, not-at-all-like-January stuff.

The event runs from 8pm - 3 am: tickets are from £6 (before 9pm), or you can buy them in advance here.

Cargo is at 83 Rivington Street, Shoreditch, LONDON EC2A 3AY. Tel: 020 7739 3440 for more details.

Have fun. BTW they've got a restaurant but we've never eaten there: if you have, let us know what you think.
