The execrable concrete extension to Camden Town Hall on Euston Road could be replaced by a 26 storey tower, reports Property Week. Camden Council wants to update and consolidate its facilities, and the most cost-effective way may be to demolish the existing abomination and build anew. The council have commissioned property adviser CB Richard Ellis to mull over the possibilities. The 1970's annexe contains a branch of Camden Library, various council offices and eight floors of precast misery. To be fair, the extension does have one feature of interest: a little-known Banksy rat adorns the rear. Not that you'd be able to find the rear, for the whole municipal miscreation is one giant backside. Hate. Hate.
