Boris To Abolish Western Congestion Charge

Dave Hill has broken the story that the Western Congestion Charge will be abolished in 2010, once all the legal requirements have been suitably dealt with. The Mayor has since issued a press release stating that they received 28,000 responses and 67 per cent of individual respondents and 86 per cent of businesses wanted it to go. London Labour have responded criticising the loss of £70m in revenue and the impact on traffic and air pollution in the zone.
