Clerkenwell's Jerusalem Tavern, which has long been a favourite with the Londonist crowd, has been named Town Pub of the Year. According to the Good Pub Guide 2009, the slender, oft-packed watering hole remains "delightfully atmospheric, even at its busiest", while in their monthly pub round-up for May, Fancy A Pint? reckoned it "one of a kind - with excellent own-brewed beers". Want a less frenetic experience? Try a spot of lunch there: we did last year, and thoroughly enjoyed it.
