As if wine, whiskey, beer, absinthe and rum weren’t enough, Vinopolis even has a space dedicated to gin. Bombay Sapphire gin to be exact. It’s a nice roomy and white space with turquoise highlights. Kinda like walking into and through a bottle of Bombay Sapphire (without getting wet and sticky). Vinopolis reckons the Bombay Sapphire Experience’s purpose is twofold: one, give groups of up to thirty guests a chance “to enhance their cocktail making skills … under the watchful eye of a professional mixologist” and two, offer this sophista-swanky spot for receptions and cocktail parties of up to 200 guests. Londonist can vouch that the cocktails are superb (we were hanging out with our good friend Tom Collins at the BSE launch party last night) and that the canapés are fairly tasty too. Other folks at the launch participating in the mixology activities appeared to be having a real hoot. Fun stuff with booze in a swish setting: keep it in mind.
