Bombay Sapphire Experience at Vinopolis
Bombay Sapphire Launch at Vinopolis

As if wine, whiskey, beer, absinthe and rum weren’t enough, Vinopolis even has a space dedicated to gin. Bombay Sapphire gin to be exact. It’s a nice roomy and white space with turquoise highlights. Kinda like walking into and through a bottle of Bombay Sapphire (without getting wet and sticky). Vinopolis reckons the Bombay Sapphire Experience’s purpose is twofold: one, give groups of up to thirty guests a chance “to enhance their cocktail making skills … under the watchful eye of a professional mixologist” and two, offer this sophista-swanky spot for receptions and cocktail parties of up to 200 guests. Londonist can vouch that the cocktails are superb (we were hanging out with our good friend Tom Collins at the BSE launch party last night) and that the canapés are fairly tasty too. Other folks at the launch participating in the mixology activities appeared to be having a real hoot. Fun stuff with booze in a swish setting: keep it in mind.

And because so many people hate gin, when you visit you can usually just hang around and use their free cocktail tokens when they pass through. (hic.)

Wow. Really? Good to know I suppose but I didn't realize that many people hated gin. Lots of folks were loving it last night.
