Berg's Back To Help The Kids

2310_football.jpgEx-Arsenal striker Dennis Bergkamp returns to London today for the unveiling of a community football pitch that he has bankrolled. The ground in Elthorne Park, part of a international network of "Cruyff Courts", administered by the elder Dutch legend, aims to offer disaffected young Londoners a constructive route out of shanking 'n blazing. Bergkamp, who was occasionally known as a less-than pacific player on the football field, paid £75,000 out of his 2006 testimonial takings for the pitch.
