Headlining Act

If you're sick of reading free papers on the tube and fancy a different take on what's going on in the world, then we've found just the thing for you.

Now, it's not often you get theatre in a tent in London, but from Thursday 27th July - Tuesday 31st July, you'll be able to see just that from actors at The Albany in Deptford, Downham Health & Leisure Centre, and The Dolphin Public House in Sydenham. Ampersand Media brings you Headliners. The actors will be in tents instead of on stage and there will only be space for one audience member. Theatre doesn't get more intimate than this.

What does this have to do with the news we here you ask? Well each of the stories will be picked at 9.00 that very morning from that day's newpaper. You could watch something about Gordon Brown or about some little old lady finding a winning lottery ticket. You won't know until you get there.

Now surely that's got to be more interesting than the London Paper?

These Ampersand Media performances will take place in the gardens of The Albany in Deptford, Downham Health & Leisure Centre, and The Dolphin Public House in Sydenham. The tents will be ‘open’ from 2-4 and 5-7 from 27th - 31st July.
