This year’s Wireless festival kicks off in style on Thursday for their third year in the centre of the capital at Hyde Park. Four days of quality music from big bands you know and love, and plenty of bands you won’t know but can grow to love.

This year they’ve got one of their best line-ups ever, with such names as Faithless, White Stripes and Daft Punk all gracing their stage, and plenty of bands that are bound to grow big in the next few months as they slog it out on the festival circuit.

We give you the rundown of the best of the bands for this year’s festival:

Thursday:

Main acts: White Stripes, Queens of The Stoneage, Air, The Thrills

Must see: Modest Mouse (American college indie art rock band with Johnny Marr of Smiths fame) or Scouting for Girls.

Friday:

Main acts: Faithless, Mark Ronson, Badly Drawn Boy

Must see: Robyn or Badly Drawn Boy.

Saturday:

Main Acts: Daft Punk, Klaxons, LCD Soundsytem

Must see: LCD Soundsystem or Londonist favourites New Young Pony club

Sunday:

Main Acts: Kaiser Chiefs, Editors, The Rakes

Must see: The Twang, Good Shoes, Joe Purdy.

Tickets are still available for all dates except Saturday with Daft Punk, which are sold out though there may well be a last minute allocation released. Be sure to check out the ticket sites and you may find yourself a bargain a bit nearer the time! All day tickets are £45 each, though in previous years have come down in price the day before or even on the day.
