The musical surprise for a couple of the music team here at Londonist last year was a visit to Bestival. The boutique festival held on the Isle of Wight was a marvellous three days of brilliant music, fancy dress and nice people - about as far away from Reading as you could get.
Holding the Bestival empire is Rob Da Bank and his Sunday Best team and tonight they're giving you a taste of the Bestival experience by taking over the bar at Fopp on Tottenham Court Road from 6.30pm all for free.
Simply show up at the shop and you'll be able to watch new signings The Hat and Sportsday Megaphone live as well as Sombrero Sound System and Rob Da Bank himself spinning the tunes in between. We could think of a far worse and more expensive way to spend our Thursday night so this one sounds like a bargain.
