  • The trial of the Metropolitan Police, over health and safety allegations relating to the death of Jean Charles de Menezes, will not be heard until October next year.
  • Sir Robert McAlpine has been chosen to build the £280 million Olympic stadium. We assume he'll have a bit of help (boom boom).
  • A new report claims that London will face an ‘increased risk’ from radioactive waste if a new generation of nuclear power plants are commissioned. This is old news to anyone who watched 'Threads'.
  • Lord Linley has gone and bought himself a a new bicycle with a fitted child seat. Sensible bloke.
  • Ashlee Simpson asks for the cream of UK celebs at her birthday party and gets the bottom of the barrel, none of whom she recognises. Can we ask: what ever happened to inviting your mates to your birthday party?
