A woman has found stabbed to death and a man critically injured in the grounds of one of Britain's leading public schools.
A police spokesman said: "We were called to Harrow School in Peterborough Road, north west London, to reports of a man injured." Officers attended the scene and found an injured man and woman, both in their 20s.
Lucy Braham, 25, was the daughter of Jason Braham, the school's art director.
Scotland Yard said that the Ms. Braham was pronounced dead at the scene. The man, who has not yet been named, was taken to a west London hospital where his condition was described as critical. He was subsequently arrested in connection with the incident.
The police spokesman continued: "We are not looking for anyone else at this early stage. Next of kin are being informed but we await formal identification. A post-mortem is being arranged in due course."
A spokeswoman for Harrow School confirmed the incident took place on the school premises but said no pupils were involved. "There was a serious incident in a property owned by the school last night," she said, "but no pupils from the school were involved."
