  • Bonuses in the City have jumped16% this year to a record £19bn.
  • And from the overpaid of London to...hospital workers. Doctors are warning that our hospitals are not ready to cope with a terrorist attack.
  • A former member of the radical group Hizb ut Tahrir has warned universities that freshers weeks, especially in London, are "'bread and butter' recruiting grounds for extremist groups".
  • According to the latest Harden's London Restaurants, the capital's diners are sick of fancy eateries and are flocking to more traditional establishments.
  • The Transport Salaried Staffs' Association (TSSA) working for FirstGroup PLC owned First Centre West buses (got all that) have voted to strike over four days in late August early September. If it goes ahead this will cripple the bus services in west London.
  • Can't get enough of that lovely strike news? Here's another: drivers on the non-stop express rail link between London Victoria and Gatwick Airport have announced a walk out in a dispute over pay.
  • The broadsheets are calling this newspaper war a potential 'bloodbath' now.
