There's been some pretty decent stuff come out of the Get London reading series of events this year, and next week there's another one taking place at Ottakar's bookshop in Greenwich.
On May 17 the shop is hosting a reception at which "Greenwich's finest" (although we're not exactly sure who would make up that group) along with the Ottakar's staff will make the case for their favourite top 10 'Metro Reads'.
After you've heard all the arguments the voting to determine the definitive metropolitan read ( that is "the ultimate books that best capture and evoke the heart, soul and character of a city") will begin.
Nominations for the best Metro read are also being accepted from the public, just email [email protected] with your suggestion and it will be added to a grand draw to take place on Thursday 29th June
