Berlin Evening At Velorution

Next week, Londonist's favourite cycle shop Velorution is holding a Brerlin evening as part of it's ABorC series of events (i.e. Amsterdam, Berlin or Copenhagen - which is the best model for London's cycling culture).

As part of the Berlin evening there'll be a video link-up with Keirin (Berlin’s trendiest bicycle shop apparently) to talk about about Berlin's cycle trends and messenger's chic; a presentation by the Royal Parks of their plans for greater bike accessibility (Berliners enjoy a little more access to their green spaces than us poor Londoners but that may all be changing); and an 'Introduction to hub gears' (we don't know what they are but we understand that the German's love 'em).

There'll also be an unveiling of a new work by artist Julia Lohmann in the form of an illustrated lightbox.

Refreshments will take the form of 'German food' (bratwurst and sauerkraut we're guessing....mmmm) and of course beer. Lederhosen are optional.

The Berlin evening will take place on Tuesday 9 May at Velorution's shop at 18 Great Titchfield Street. Entry is free and it's £5.00 for the grub. You can contact Andrea at Velorution for more details.
