While you may have spent Saturday morning mourning the loss of Simon & Miquita (give Alex & Alexa a chance eh?), tonight sees our favourite music show, Popworld, putting on the first of their unsigned nights right here in London town.
The show launched a brand new site Popworld Promotes a couple of weeks ago as a spin off to the main brand. If you're in a band, you sign up, upload a track, and then us the great unwashed public can listen to you, buy you, and even rate you. And as far as we understand it, the exciting bit is that the top rated act each month will feature on Popworld itself.
And so to tonight and the Popworld Promotes Unsigned party for April taking place at Picadilly's Hard Rock Cafe. Top rated acts Bashphelt and Telegraph will be appearing alongside a couple of other acts the website has picked out as the most likely vision of the future.
We're always up for a bit of new music so we're definitely going to check this one out. Tickets are only £8.50 and 70% of profits go to the bands playing. Let us know if you're thinking of making it too, or if you discover anyone amazing on the Popworld Promotes site.
