Ken has said that a £200m plant in East London which would desalinate water from the Thames estuary is not the answer to the water shortage because it's energy-intensive and contributes to climate change.
The Conservatives meanwhile are busy reminding everyone just how opposed they are to Ken's Congestion Charge: "The C-Charge is not a green policy but rather an expensive failure, damaging local shops and restaurants without having a significant impact on congestion levels. We believe that our opposition to the congestion charge will be fully vindicated when the results are in at next week's local elections."
