Friday: Raucous angular noise makers The Victorian English Gentlemen's Club who are neither Victorian, nor English (they're Welsh), nor Gentlemen (two of the guys are girls), but apart from that the name fits, play the 333 Club (333 Old Street) with Performance.

Sunday: If The Pipettes don't start returning our phone calls, we're going to have to start stalking Lucky Soul instead. Which means you may find a number of us low knuckled Londonistas breaking into their free Trial And Error show at The Old Blue Last, Great Eastern Street. Update: The event is from 7 till 12, with Lucky Soul on first. The Bookhouse Boys headline and Lynch Rider Lullu also playing.

Tuesday: If the good Lord's willing and the creeks don't rise, we'll be sure to see you for another shot of Health And Happiness, the recommended monthly intake of country, bluegrass, blues and other music for uplifting gourmandizers. They're really living up to our nickname as "the Haçienda of bluegrass" this month with an incredible double bill featuring Shropshire-based duo Deep Elem (featuring previous H&H guest Mara Carlyle's brother) and London nu-grassers (que?) Indigo Moss. 7 till 12 at The Social on Little Portland Street and as always, entry is free.

At the other end of the scale are Freakoid death-jazz scuzz rockers The Imbeciles at the Luminaire. Imagine listening to a Slayer Exploited mash up but with every other second removed.

Wednesday: 100 Reasons will be playing and signing things for Kingston's skate punk brigade at Banquet, 52 Eden Street from 5. Call 020 8549 5871 for more details.
