Not a moment's hesitation in recommending The Eighteenth Day Of May's Bush Hall show on the 28th April as our buy of the week. If you need to ask why then there's gonna be tears and spilt milk at tea time.

We give the Americans James Blunt, insipid ex-army bloke who makes Heat readers go week at the knees because he registers with the part of the brain that induces coma. They give us Micah P Hinson, the original supermodel-dating druggy who can make fields of flowers wilt with the soul crushing pain of his life laid bare through song and the cracked desparation of his voice. Then again we gave them the mills bomb and they gave us the atomic bomb. 10th April at Lock 17, what used to be Dingwalls.

Tickets are now on sale for this year's Camden Crawl on the 20th April. Last year's was a ton of fun, and it's probably the only night where walking around Camden after lights out is a pleasurable experience. Just remember the half pints until you know how good the band is tip.

Finally we'll mention new shows by Mudhoney at Shepherd's Bush Empire on 11th May, The New Pornographers at Koko on 16th May as worth a visit and Hillary Duff at Hammersmith Apollo on 27th April for no reason other than we never ever thought we'd be saying that.
