Celebrity Bitch Fight: Morgan V Clarkson

Londonist was very pleased to hear that the long-running feud between Piers Morgan and Jeremy Clarkson had reached such a level that Grosvenor House was requestiing an exclusion zone between the two at the British Book Awards at the end of next month. After all, the last time there was a good exclusion zone in London was when Bush came to visit and we were forced to 'work from home'. Fingers crossed eh?

The bitterness and hatred between Mrogan and Clarkson started back in October 2003 when the pair were on the last Concorde flight. It's reported that Clarkson threw a glass of water over Morgan while the two were exchanging insults during the flight. Then, in March 2004, at the British Press Awards, Clarkson launched a verbal attack on Morgan and punched him over photographs that the Mirror had published of him with a 'mystery woman'.

Both of these overgrown infants are up for the Book of the Year Prize at the WH Smith Awards (also knows as the 'Let's Give A Prize To The Book Which Made Us The Most Money' Award) and Morgan has already started to fan the flames of pettiness by remarking that he is "absolutely desperate to win, purely to see Jeremy Clarkson's face as I do a little celebratory conga on stage".

If there's any justice in the world neither of them will win and the award will go to the fantastic Margrave of the Marshes by John Peel & Sheila Ravenscroft.
