New Bands 2006 : Boy Kill Boy

As far as new bands for 2006, one band we are totally loving so far are Leytonstone based Boy Kill Boy.

Chris Peck (vocals, guitar), Peter Carr (keyboards), Kevin Chase (bass) and Shaz (drums) make up the band that were making lots of noise in 2005 by supporting Hard-Fi on their sell out tour, as well as releasing some music on an independent label. Now they have been signed to a major, and we reckon they are going to be HUUUUGGGE.

Not only is their debut single Back Again an absolute indie disco stomper full of Muse-esque qualities, but they are also a) cute and b)generous – 2 things we very much like in our men. Yeah give us a break, we like skinny indie boys okay!?

To find out exactly how generous they are then you need to take your fine selves to the Boy Kill Boy Singles Club. Here you'll be able to download songs by the band for absolutely nothing, 0, nil, zilch. They'll be updating it every 2 weeks with new stuff, live stuff, demos and radio sessions. The stuff up there at the moment is pretty cool, so get there before it goes!

As far as buying them in the shop goes, you'll be able to get Back Again on February 13th and the guys will be playing an instore gig on that day at Sister Ray Records on Berwick Street, Soho for anyone who shows up! Put it in your diaries now and we'll remind you nearer the time. If you can't make that date then they will be at King's College on February 27th. Oh and they have a secret gig somewhere in the next two weeks in a damp place. We can't tell you any more than that but if you find out then we'll see you there!
