Musical Top Tens: 3 of 4
Rachel Stevens

After a comment yesterday saying Londonist was a bit biased towards being maybe too cool for school and rock focused with their top choices of the year, I say HOLD YOUR HORSES.

It’s time for me. I'm sparkly, shiny and hate Coldplay, Keane, and the dreary sleep inducing song writers of 2005. No doubt I will get lots of comments telling me that most of my likes aren't proper music. Bite me.

And for 2006? Will it, like 2005, be the year of some brilliant pop songs being ignored? Let's hope not. Whether they get big or not, I'll be looking forward to the 3rd Rachel Stevens album, the 1st album from The Modern, the re-release of Ladytron's Destroy Everything You Touch, an album from The Long Blondes, finding out more about Be Your Own Pet, hearing Amelle sing, the Sarah Nixey album and of course seeing Take That live. Hooray!
