Ken Livingstone has been given a breezeblock for winning the Green Party's 'Dodgy Planning' awards

This isn't awarded for just any dodgy planning (putting your trousers on before your pants for instance, would not get you the prize), it's only urban planning and development that counts and Ken has won the award this year for allowing the redevelopment of the former Arsenal stadium.

As well as being one of the most crass property development in London's history (and there's been a few bad ones), the Greens' specific grumble with 'The Stadium' is that Ken has not made 'affordable homes' part of the plan.

That's not Ken's only planning crime though. The Greens have also attacked the plans for Vauxhall Tower and "St Joseph's Academy, Greenwich, said to be the site of lost playing fields."

The timing of these awards is no coincidence of course, Ken is due to host the official London Planning Awards tomorrow. You can read the shortlist here.
