Actually, we're not sure if there'll be pizza but there'll be plenty of food anyway at the Autumn Food Lovers' Fair taking place in Covent Garden this weekend as a fair old smattering of food producers will be taking part in the fair.

For those who love food, the benefits of going along to the fair are obvious. Those who aren't so into their food may benefit even more, by talking to the people directly responsible for the food being sold, rather than staring at impenetrable labels on vacuum-sealed packets.

If you're stuck for ideas on what to do with the food on offer (although we suspect that The Handmade Scotch Egg Company's products don't need much by way of instruction), the inevitable parade of celebrity chefs will be there to show you how easy cooking is, after years of catering college education and commercial kitchen experience. We're not massively familiar with the names listed, so quite how 'celebrity' they are, we're not sure (Paul Young, on at 4pm on Sunday 6th, is not the mulleted singer of 'Wherever I Lay My Hat' fame, alas) but they do seem to have plenty of experience, so at least they know what they're doing.

The Food Lovers' Fair at Covent Garden takes place on Friday 4th, (11am-7.30pm), Saturday 5th and Sunday 6th (both 10am-6pm), and admission is free.
