Not much in the way of new tours this week but worth an honourable mention are:

Fightstar, the anti-Busted, who head off next year in support of their debut album, Grand Unification, taking in the Asoria on March 22nd. You know what, they're really not that bad.

Rock with funk, but not funk rock, boogie metal titans, Clutch play the Astoria on the 29th January, co-headlining with Corrosion of Conformity.

Once upon a time the Sugababes played a special NME night at the Scala, but this time round it's a straight up evening of song and dance at the Hammersmith Apollo on 10th and 11th April. Now if only they'd have a huge scrap on stage.

It's not often prefab girl and boy groups ever manage to develop an identity of thier own and Girls Aloud were almost there until the tidal wave of popness flooded over them and they all started looking like FHM cover girls. Bets are on for how many older men will be in the Wembley Arena audience on the 3rd June next year.
