At the end of last month we previewed Ducktastic the new play from the same team (i.e. Kenneth Brannagh and The Right Size) that created the brilliant That Play What I Wrote.
However those of you who rushed out to buy tickets might want to check the dates because according to What's On Stage the show has been postponed for a couple of days.
The reason? The ducks aren't quite up to scratch yet.
The comedy’s West End premiere at the Albery Theatre has been postponed in order to train the feathered stars in some new tricks recently added in. The opening was scheduled for Monday 17 October 2005 (previews from 11 October) and will now take place on Wednesday 19 October.
We can't help thinking that there must be dozens of out of work, showbiz ducks out there who'd kill for a chance to appear in this play. That old Children's BBC stalwart Ed The Duck for instance...he must be spitting feathers (sorry).
