If there's one thing we recommend you do today - over getting up, going to work, having a beer later, reading Londonist from cover to cover - it's that you buy Dandy Warhols tickets for their Hammmersmith Palais show on October 26, and not just because their site (see previous link) is in 3D.
Of course our herb loving Bohemian-like-us friends may not be your cup of tea. But then again James Blunt may be neither but just in case he is (we're trying to be fair here after all) he'll be doing his pleasant enough acoustic thing next year (are we doing gigs for next year already?) at Brixton on February 16th.
Also just on sale (we've mentioned this before but no harm in doing it again) are Sigur Ros at Brixton on the 9th November. Go on! Make that thing to do number two (not make number twos your thing to do). (or maybe you should). (when it's necessary though). (not before).
For those who like a little late night dancing, Chemical Brothers have just announced a late show at Brixton for the 9th December.
And finally, if you like late nights all day then you can get tickets for the Iceland Airwaves festival here. From the 19th to the 23rd October, 50 of Iceland's premier acts including Minus and Gus Gus as well as a host of international bands including Juliett Lewis and the Licks, Babyshambles, The Zutons, The (International) Noise Conspiracy, The Mitchell Brothers, Rodrigo y Gabriella, Zoot Woman and The Fiery Furnaces, as well as a various djs and a Kerrang! club night (phew!) will be rocking Reykjavik to it's core. What more could you want? We know it's not London but it's our recommended Autumn break and since Londonist is going to be there, why not come and join us.
