Now Londonist is all for the 'reclamation' of Trafalgar Square, and any celebratory event that brings Londoners together is a good thing by us.

But...there are limits.

For example, this particular paragraph strikes fear into our very heart:

The traditional British passion for tea and the country's reignited interest in dancing are being brought together in an attempt to break a world record.

That's right, if you go down to the Square today you're in for a big surprise. Because in about an hour's time Trafalgar Square will be filled with 'tea dancers' attempting to twirl themselves into the Guinness Book of Records.

And if that wasn't enough to keep you well out of the way, there will be a few of the stars from Celebrity Come Dancing present to start everyone off.

Let's just hope no one dances their way into the fountains or we could see a heritage wardens versus tea dancers battle and that could get very messy indeed.

If you really want to you can keep an eye on the record attempt via the Trafalgar Square webcam.
