How did we miss this one?

David Hasselhoff turned up at a pub in Brixton the other weekend, because the club night they had on there was named after him.

Apparently Germany's favourite pop star decided to pop along to the Telegraph pub's Hasselhoff Scandal night because he "loved the flyer featuring a young semi-naked Hasselhoff".

The Telegraph's promotion manager is quoted as saying "A few of us came up with a name for the launch of a new night and then heard that 'The Hoff' himself was in London appearing on Friday night's TV show with Jonathan Ross. We thought it would be a laugh to try to give him a flyer but never dreamt he would turn up."

Apparently DH was at the pub for around half-an-hour, during which time "he danced and sang and said, 'This is much better than the Jonathan Ross show'."

All together now: Some people stand in the darkness. Afraid to step into the light...
