If you're a regular reader you should know by now that we here at Londonist are big fans of those old-fashioned, handheld, printed things called 'books'.
So we were particularly pleased to come across the website for a little organisation called Decongested as it's their mission to inject a love of the short story back into the capital.
As they explain on the site, Decongested is commited to raising "the profile of the short story in London" and that leads to "encouraging and showcasing new talent in the form".
Decongested are doing this by holding regular short story readings, and the next one of these is at the Gallery Space in Foyles this coming Friday at 7pm.
In the meantime you can always dip into the library of short stories which are archived on the site.
