Londonist was somewhat surprised to find out this morning that there are not one but two new Star Wars films on the way.
Slashdot drew our attention to Star Wars Revalations, a new fan film with even ropier acting than the originals but some great special effects and lots of stormtroopers thereby becoming some kind of Episode1 / Episode 4 hybrid.
Meanwhile the new Episode 3: Revenge of the Sith trailer is now online and once again our hopes are momentarily raised. Although it can't hide the contractual dodgy acting it looks spectacular, concentrating on Anakin's fall to the dark side and the extermination of the Jedi order (Boo!). Spoiler alert: there are lots of explosions.
Not to be outdone, there's also a double dose of Batman on the way. So if you're not content with waiting for Christian Bale's take on the winged one, Mark Hamill, Dick Van Dyke and Adam West (the mind doth boggle) return for Bat Man: New Times, a short CGI film school project. And the twist: it's all done with lego!
