Well if you did you were wrong, because as you've probably already experienced on your way into work this morning it is very very cold out there and it's just going to get worse.
As most of the papers are reporting, it's the "high pressure over Scandinavia" that we have to thank for the current climate; and wouldn't you know it "the cold weather is likely to spread south".
And we all know snow falling in London means out and out panic.
Londonist fully expects the army to be called in if more than an inch of the white stuff falls.
