Russian Winter Festival - Photos

Well if the Russian Winter Festival in Trafalgar Square on Saturday tought us anything it's that maybe Trafalgar Square really isn't big enough to cater for anything which may attract more people than Ken Livingstone and his immediate family.

OK, so we're exaggerating slightly, but it was packed by the time Londonist wandered down there at around 5ish on Saturday evening. Right from the National Gallery entrance down to the big old lions (nicely covered in fake snow), the whole of the Square was jammed with crowds listening to brilliant, eerie violin music and munching on cold war snacks.

We managed to take a few snaps of the action over the heads of the masses before the crowd got too much, so you can click below to see those (and there are some better photos over at Ancient Imagery of the Future). If you were there let us know what you thought in the Comments section.
