The Times reports today that Monopoly is to be updated "to reflect the changing face fo the capital", and frankly we're outraged.
Gone are King's Cross, Marylebone, Paddington and Fenchurch Street and in are Gatwick Heathrow, London City and Stansted airports. Bor-ring!
Even worse, the water and elctricity works are aslo to be replaced "two forms of communication". What, a T-Mobile shop and an abandoned village post office?
Even the Chance cards are to be updated, with Congeston Charge penalties and National Loterry prizes added to the more traditional (and, frankly, more realistic) second prize in a beauty contest.
Thankfully the new, updated Monopoly will be available as a 'limited edition' alongside the more traditional version. Next thing you know they'll be getting rid fo the top hat and the scotty dog...and then the masses will rise and heads will roll.
