Londonist isn't sure we know anyone who actually admits to liking New Year's Eve anymore, but we're determined to make the best of it this year, so here's a little rundown of some last-minute things you might want to contemplate.
If you really feel like going clubbing then the only event Londonist can genuinely recommend is the Eat You Own Ears night at Keston Lodge on Upper Street. Their 'New Year's Eve Road Block' features the brilliantly named DJ Ruth (Domino Records) and other guests.
As far as comedy goes there's the last chance to see beardy weirdy Bill Bailey at the Apollo Theatre (unless you got the Part-Troll DVD for Xmas, in which case you've already seen the best bits), or Arthur Smith's Dante's Inferno show is still on at the Comedy Theatre.
If you can't get up to Scotland this year and you fancy some traditional Hogmanay celebrations then the Battersea Arts Centre is hosting the Scottish Ceilidh Club's New Year's bash. Dress code is kilts and black tie though so don't go without your tartan.
And if you're looking for somewhere to view the South bank fireworks from tomorrow nnight then you could do worse than the Tattershall Castle (the boat, not the castle). There's a bar and it's right opposite the London Eye.
