A couple of weeks ago we reported on the plans to use the Millennium Dome as a homeless shelter over the Christmas period.
Now it's difficult not to be cynical about anything which has something to do with the Dome, but this at least seemed like it had a decent idea at its heart. So thank God then that it worked.
The charity Crisis, who were given free use of the monstrous, white carbuncle over Christmas, has reported 700 people have visited the Dome since Christmas Eve
According to our calculations that's around 650 more visitors than it got when it was a so-called tourist attraction.
