The Antelope

The Antelope

This pub was editorially chosen for inclusion by Londonist.

A cool, laid-back, reggae-pop vibe immediately hits as you step into this grand old place. The front space looks like a refugee from the 1940s, with the battered old furniture and granny-flat chic beloved of the Antic chain. A beautiful curving curtain wall of glass faces on to the high street. Steer yourself around the bar, and the pub grows into several larger areas. You could seat hundreds throughout this place. Lounging options continue into the yard at the back. The food and drink is also exceptional. This is a top place for a Sunday roast, but you'll be well served any night of the week. The ale selection is excellent, with up to eight beers on cask, mostly from smaller producers.
