Tickets for London's humongous New Year's Eve fireworks display go on sale next Friday.

Every year over 100,000 spectators huddle around the London Eye to get a view of the stunning fireworks display that ushers in a new year. 2019's includes 12,000 fireworks, 2,000 lighting cues and 30 tonnes of equipment atop three barges floating on the Thames.

The display is kicked off by the chimes of Big Ben, despite ongoing renovation works.

Tickets cost £10, and there's a maximum of four tickets per transaction. If you miss out in the initial sale, another batch is released in November. If you also miss out then, there are plenty of other non-ticketed spots you can watch the fireworks from.

A perennial favourite is up on Primrose Hill, which provides panoramic views of London.

The Mayor of London, Sadiq Khan, said:

Year after year we put on the greatest fireworks show in the world. The spectacular images of fireworks lighting up London's skyline are beamed to viewers around the globe, showing off our great capital and demonstrating to the world that London is open to all.
