London Gets New Lego Shop
The Lego Tower Bridge set, already available for a cool £209.99

Great news for Lego fans: London is getting a brand-new flagship Lego shop in Leicester Square.

Opening at the end of the year, the new two-floor Lego store will be at 48 Leicester Square, meaning Londoners no longer have to trek to one of the Westfields for a dedicated London Lego shop.

The Lego shop will join other tourist traps Leicester Square shops like M&M's World, McDonalds and Haagen Dazs, and significantly increase the shopping chops of this Theatreland square.

Along with the new shop news, Lego have also announced a new scale model of Big Ben and the Houses of Parliament.

Standing 60cm high, the new Lego set is part of the brand's Creator Expert range, so (happily) not really suitable for your eight-year-old cousin.

The new 4,163-piece set includes statues, shields, windows, moveable clock hands and even the Big Ben bell below a removable roof, making it perfect for the Londonist office anyone occupying that special space in a Lego/London landmark Venn diagram.

The new set is on sale from 1 July, marking Big Ben's 137th birthday. It costs (a rather steep) £169.99.
