Embark On A Sunset Safari Without Leaving London

ZSL London Zoo is staying open late on Friday nights again this summer, giving the public a chance to see the animals outside of the usual opening hours.

Sunset Safaris take place on seven Fridays throughout June and July, when visitors of all ages can take part in safari trails, and watch animal talks and feeds.

As well as a chance to see the animals at dusk — a time when many of them are more active and vocal than during the day — family-friendly entertainment is provided in the form of acoustic guitar performances and interactive quiz show Zooniversity Challenge.

Feeding time isn't just for the animals — cuisine from around the world will be available at the street food festival in the centre of the zoo. Alternatively, bring your own picnic to tuck into as the sun goes down (but be aware you won't be allowed to bring your own alcohol into the zoo).

For an extra special treat, visitors can buy tickets for a premium guided safari tour, led by expert safari guides who will be able to answer all sorts of questions about the animals at the zoo.

ZSL London Zoo Sunset Safari takes place every Friday evening 3 June-15 July from 6pm-10pm. Tickets are from £19.50 adults, £14.63 children and need to be booked in advance.
