London ‘lates’ is becoming ‘a thing’. A wonderful thing that sees us pottering around London Zoo after hours, jumping around to DJs at the Science Museum and generally relishing the capital’s cultural venues without kids and with plenty of alcohol. What’s not to love?
From tomorrow, London Eye Summer Lates kicks off with extended hours — until midnight — every Friday for the next six weeks. This latest late is a response to the increasingly pleasant weather and the desire of London dwellers to stay out and make the most of what our city has to offer.
In true London Eye style, a range of packages is available — the Summer Cocktail Experience (£45 pp), the Wine and Tapas Experience (£45 pp) and the Champagne Experience (£34 pp).
If you’re opting for the Summer Cocktail Experience, you’ll get nibbles and two cocktails — Summer in the City (dark rum, lime, apple, ginger), The London 75 — a twist on the French 75 champagne cocktail with Sipsmith gin and/or The Red Eye (Damson vodka, fizz).
For a Spanish twist, the Tapas Experience includes antipasti, prawns and cheeses. Then there’s the classic Champagne option, which includes a lovely glass of Pommery.
Night owls, rejoice and enjoy the mild summer weather while it lasts.
London Eye Summer Lates runs from 4 July to 22 August.
The Summer Cocktail Experience is available 6.30pm, 8.30pm and 10.30pm each Friday. Package includes priority boarding, two cocktails pp, savoury nibbles, one hour on the Eye (two rotations), entry to the 4D cinema experience, and a complimentary 360° mini guide.
