Three Major Art Fairs Start In London Next Week

On Thursday 12 June, London will see the opening of three major art fairs across the city. Expect much more than just artwork for collectors and serious art buyers.

Affordable Art Fair is on from 12 to 15 June. Details below

Art Antiques London

Venue: Albert Memorial and Kensington Gardens (nearest tubes: South Kensigton, High Street Kensington)
Dates:
  Thursday 12 June-Wednesday 18 June
Ticket Price: £15 daily for both adults and concessions, you can both prebook or buy tickets on the door
Highlights: First of all, the stunning location of the fair. A significant part is dedicated to Asian exhibitors and a mixed programme of art lectures is included. The lectures are mostly about traditional antiques collections and materials like ceramic and porcelain but also about Victorian jewellery, JMW Turner and others. You can purchase tickets for individual lectures, independently from the fair, for £10.
Is it for me? This is particularly aimed at those who are passionate about antiques, and the prices are not suitable for every pocket...

Affordable Art Fair

Venue: Lower Fairground Site (nearest tube/Overground: Hampstead Heath, Hampstead)
Dates:
Thursday 12 June-Sunday 15 June
Ticket Price: £10 adults & £8 concessions. Prebook suggested, as prices are higher if you buy on the door
Highlights: This is an international contemporary art fair that aims to get people started as art collectors, with prices ranging from £40 to £4,000. The programme of the fair includes free children's activities everyday, talks, and hands-on workshops.
Is it for me? This art fair definitely aims to be open to everyone and the entry ticket is cheaper than that of most other art fairs. So definitely, yes, it could be one for you.

Pinta London Art Fair

Venue: Earls Court Exhibition Centre (nearest tubes: Earl's Court, West Kensington, West Brompton)
Dates:
Thursday 12 June-Sunday 15 June
Ticket Price: £15 adults & £8 concessions. Prebook suggested
Highlights: Pinta London Art Fair is the only art event in London to focus on artists from Latin America, Spain and Portugal. This is a unique occasion to discover contemporary talents from different cultural environments and to explore the artistic tendencies of these countries. Highlights include an exclusive programme of museums acquisitions, art projects about influential women in Latin American art, BioArt and talks focused on art and social activism featuring leading female curators, dealers and collectors.
Is it for me? Yes, if you'd like to explore new and contemporary art forms from Portuguese and Spanish-speaking countries.
