We see them ploughing up and down the River Thames, we may hop on board ourselves for a day visit to Greenwich, a night out at The O2, or just the regular commute to the City. But how much do we know about what happens on board a Thames Clippers water-bus? And what is it like to work on the River Thames? Geoff Marshall spends a day on board one of the fleet to find out.

A lot of gold braid going on there. In the navy someone with the rank (as opposed to the title) of Captain could command a cruiser or larger.

Great video, thanks!

I love the clippers, it's one of the first things I do with friends when they come to London for a visit. I get them on the water and head to Greenwich for the day. A great way to view the city and experience the river :)

Great stuff! I'm going to miss the Clipper service a lot when I move away from Canary Wharf. Thanks to the captain and crew for a great service.
