Educational charity The Iris Project has created this tube map of the Underworld. We’re not that up on our mythology and we presume there’s lots of clever references and reasons for the interchanges – more enlightened folk can tell us in the comments. Alternatively, if you’re in the Oxford area on 1 April you could attend The Iris Project’s free day of classical storytelling workshops, where this map will be on display.
This isn’t the first time the Underground has been transposed to the Underworld. In Marie Phillips’s novel Gods Behaving Badly, the entrance to the Underworld is through Angel station and Charon now works as a ticket collector.
