Set your sails for Greenwich on 28 November for a free late opening that combines singing, quizzing, rum, cabaret, Nelson and fishwives. The Lost at Sea evening celebrates the opening of two new attractions at the museum: the Nelson, Navy, Nation gallery and the imminent Turner and the Sea exhibition (review to follow tomorrow).
As well as touring the exhibitions, a tottering galleon of entertainment is on offer. You might try the Thames quiz, hosted and written by Londonist's Matt Brown. Cabaret and promenade performances from Shore Leave, a subversive ceilidh band, and a fishwives choir offer musical accompaniment, and there's the experimental Floodtide performance, which makes music from the rise and fall of the Thames, and other immersive sound and visual work. Elsewhere, expect talks on the literature of the sea and a museum curator PechaKucha (presentations of 20 slides each shown for 20 seconds).
Plus, rum, tattoos, photo booths, rum and rum.
