The Olympic Park Made From LEGO

Brickmeister Warren Elsmore has created this miniature version of the Olympic Park made entirely from LEGO. Warren tells us that it’s constructed from approximately a quarter million bricks and took 300 hours for him and his wife to build.

“And yes it is all LEGO! I don’t use any specially made parts — everything you see here is made from LEGO sets that are in the shops right now.”

Here’s a time-lapse of the main stadium build:

You can view the model at the Danish Village in St Katherine Docks. It’s open from 11am-11pm every day until the 12 August, with live TV broadcasts from Danish TV channel TV2, a Viking longship and, of course, free Danish bacon and hot dogs.

Warren was also behind the brickish version of St Pancras station we featured a couple of years ago.

Yes indeed there is! That was designed and commissioned by Warren Elsmore too; for display at The LEGO Show, in Manchester over the May Bank Holiday weekend :-)
