Cherie Blair To Herd Goats Over London Bridge

To mark International Widows' Day on June 23rd, Cherie Blair will lead a herd of goats across London Bridge, making use of the ancient laws that allow Freemen of the City to drive livestock into the Square Mile. No, we're not sure what the connection is either, but it should make for an enjoyable sight and afford the paps plenty of chances to snap Cherie's gurning mush.

The event is being organised by Lord Lumba, a Freeman of the City, and Cherie will be assisted in her caprine corralling by Miriam Clegg, wife of the deputy Prime Minister.
