Do you know your Pumblechooks from your Fezziwigs? Your Chuzzlewits from your M’Choakumchilds? Are you familiar with the ejaculations of Dick Swiveller?
Immerse yourself in the world of Charles Dickens at our special FREE quiz night at Foyles, Charing Cross Road. The event takes place on 24 April from 6.30pm in the Jazz Cafe, on the first floor of Foyles.
Despite our opening sentences, you don’t really need to know all that much about Dickens to take part. Most of the questions will be guessable, or well known, or a little bit silly. We’ve also got the genuine, real Charles Dickens* lined up to host proceedings. In short, it’ll be more fun than the Penguins’ Christmas ice skating party†.
To join the madding crowd‡, please register your team (suggest no more than five) via the email given on Foyles website. The event is already two-thirds booked, so don’t hang about.
It is a far, far better quiz that we do, than we have ever done. We have great expectations.
*Not actually the genuine, real Charles Dickens.
†Your quiz compiler is a life-long fan of the Muppets’ Christmas Carol, which may or may not offer a clue to an area for revision ahead of the quiz.
