Often described as London's most romantic restaurant, Clos Maggiore is offering a special seafood tasting menu available until the 20th of this month. Head chef, Marcellin Marc, has created a “visually stunning” seven‐course  menu  to showcase a  variety  of sustainably  sourced  fish and shellfish with each course paired with an appropriate  wine  or champagne. The menu costs £59 per person or £98 with wine, the seafood dishes are also available on the à la carte menu.

Upscale Thai restaurant, Mango Tree, is to host a “very best of Thai cuisine” with a five-week Thai Street Food Festival. The Southeast Asian foodie fest is on now and runs until 9 October offering a selection of starters including Kai Nok-krata Tord (deep fried quail eggs wrapped in golden wanton skin served with home made sweet chilli sauce) and Look-chin Moo Ping (grilled home made pork balls served with spicy tamarind sauce) and Pla-muek Yang (grilled marinated squid in Thai style served with spicy lime sauce) and mains such as Pad Khee-mao Nuer (stir fried thick noodles with beef, bamboo shoots and Thai sweet basil in spicy sauce), Kuay-tiew Kuae Thale (stir fried thick noodles with mixed seafood in soya sauce and egg) and Pla Bo-ran (deep fried crispy sea bass filets served with mango salad) as well as a variety of vegetarian-friendly dishes.

In celebration of British Food Fortnight (Saturday 17 September to Sunday 2 October inclusive), ETM Group pubs (The Gun, The Well, The White Swan, The Cadogan Arms and The Prince Arthur) are hosting a “Best of British grub and a pint” for £10 with dishes to include “Londoner” pure pork sausages, mashed potato and rich caramelised onion and cider gravy, boiled Essex ham hock, pease pudding and parsley sauce or Billingsgate potato topped fish pie with mushy peas and carrots with British ales such as Darkstar Hophead, Adnam’s Bitter and Oakham Citra to accompany.

The UK's oldest pub group, Young's, is celebrating its 180th birthday with a variety of special events at Young's pubs around town include a Big Birthday on 21 September, a Cask Ale Festival from 19 September to 2 October and “London's Biggest Pub Quiz” on 4 October as well as a the introduction of a new “1831 Anniversary Ale” birthday brew.
