Ten London Stations Named After Birds

Just a bit of silly Friday fun…

1. Canary Wharf
2. Heron Quays
3. Falconwood
4. Goldhawk Road
5. Ravensbourne (Beckenham)
6. Turkey Street (Enfield)
7. Finchley Central (and other nearby stations)
8. Ravenscourt Park
9. Cockfosters (see also, London’s rudest stations)
10. Angel (well, they’ve got wings)

What have we missed?

Herne Hill is “Herons’ Hill” isn’t it?

Always thought it came from Herne the Hunter, some kind of ancient mythological character.

Objection to Canary Wharf, which is named for the Canary Islands, whose name comes from dogs (canine) not the bird.

      Objection ignored.
