Things To Do In London On The Cheap: 8-14 April

Appropriate to the lovely weather, there's lots to do outdoors on the cheap this week.

Friday: Free classical music concert courtesy of Daniel Darenboim at Tate Modern, 9pm in Turbine Hall - register here for a free ticket.

Saturday: Ever been to Ponders End, Enfield? Today is a good day to go as Mem Morrison puts on Local to promote the high street.

Take a free beginners digital photography workshop focusing on nature in Ruskin Park, Lambeth with Embrace Workshops.

Wormwood Scrubs Local Nature Reserve W12 has its annual family fun day between 11am-3pm with horse and cart rides, mobile farm and petting zoo, bouncy castle and more to keep the kids (and grown ups) amused.

Watch the well dressed chaps cycle past on the Tweed Run.

Sunday: Go bird watching in Ten Acre Wood, Hillingdon and be led on a bird walk between 2-4pm.

Vauxhall City Farm's having an eco garden party between 11am-3pm with pond dipping, beast hunting, storytelling, composting... and it's all free.

Take part in the Grand Day Out charity dog walk in Battersea Park. £5 donation to enter and it's raising money to help sick children in hospitals and hospices. Starts 11am, register online or just go along to dogwatch.

Monday: Secret Chiefs meet to discuss the Green Lady and the Horned Goddess at the Devereux pub, WC2R 3JJ. Talk 8.30pm, all welcome, admission £2.

Tuesday: A one-night-only photography exhibition marks the first International Day for Street Children. Louder Together features photographs of street children around the world projected onto the National Theatre’s flytower, 7.30-11.30pm.

Wednesday: Shakespeare Happens at The Scoop, More London from 7.30pm with a novel, lively and colourful production of Macbeth. Free.

Thursday: Play Musical Bingo at Concrete, Shoreditch. Entry £4 for 5 games. £1 off if you're wearing 'bingo wings'.

Anytime this week: The Deutsche Börse Photography Prize 2011 exhibition @ Ambika P3, Marylebone NW1 is free and runs all month.
